As We have been working hard on our outreach plan which we discussed in the previous newsletter. Already we have created some beautiful advertisements for the Chemainus Theatre's Annual Program Guide, plus negotiated the back cover of the Chemainus Ultimate Resource Guide. We are working on our Tourism Vancouver Island 1/2 page co-op advertisement and online visibility. We have 11 tourism/guide items we participate in per year to advertise the town of Chemainus as a whole. We work with Tourism Cowichan, Tourism Vancouver Island, and even Destination BC to create the Chemainus narrative which attracts visitors throughout the year. We have also arranged to rack our NEW comprehensive business listing guide on major ferry routes and hundreds of other locations throughout the island. We are inviting media reps, tour operators and bloggers to come and experience all we have to offer by way of FAM (Familiarization and Marketing) tours. We are reviewing banners/flags around town, our billboards, and we have even created a new member-focused website with job-board found here.
So, what does it mean for your businesses? Great question! Not only does town exposure mean tourists are coming to spend their money, which in turn attracts residents and business for local services, thusly supporting our business community as a whole; but it also means we are getting your business name out there. We are drawing attention to Chemainus and our CBIA areas. We are encouraging exploration from visitors. And we are driving business to your doorstep.
